I brought the Buick over the river first so I could take
pictures of the RV coming across. A short wait – our RV took up one whole side
of the ferry. It must take a long time for caravans to cross! Roger has a
conference call in the morning (and his phone works here!) so we are staying
tonight at a lovely campground on this side of the river and driving the Top of
the World Highway to Chicken tomorrow.
This is a “fish wheel” – used to catch large numbers of salmon
as they swim upstream. We’ve seen them in use on the TV show “Life Below Zero”
about people who live off the grid in Alaska.
Here is an unusual log cabin – on a raft in the Yukon River.
Guess you don’t have to worry about nosy neighbors!
We played golf at the Top of the World Golf Course today. The
farthest north course with grass greens! Only 9 holes but a great layout and
beautiful views.
Leaving Canada for now…hey?!
