Hawaiian Luau
The last big event at the park, before everyone leaves to return home, was the Hawaiian Luau. They hired a guy from Lakeland that brings in his roaster and a whole pig and cooks it all night and all day. A real feast with pulled pork and all the trimmings. They had 5 guys wearing hula skirts, coconut bras and wigs do a skit and then act as waitresses! Roger originally "got volunteered" but then was in San Antonio the week before and not available to practice. When he heard what they planned to do he was glad he "dodged the bullet." A dance after dinner finished the fun evening!
Things are winding down as couples start to leave the park - it will soon be a ghost town with only the 12 people that live here year round!
