Roger played golf with the Michigan guys on Mondays so us women started playing on Mondays too.
Then we play with the Rolling Ridge group on Wednesdays and Fridays. George and Sue joined us several times. You would think 3 times a week would turn me into a par golfer - NOT! But, I did get an eagle on a par 4 at Otter Creek!
The Monday Night Dinner Club at Rolling Ridge gave us a chance to meet neighbors we hadn't met during our previous stays here.
The weather was "so-so" in January but much better in February and March and much better than either Texas or Michigan so we are not complaining!
You can see the Cape Canaveral shuttle launches from the park so we watched Eli Musks Tesla fly into space that day!
We rode our bikes into Clermont and up to Winter Garden on the Orange Trail but windy days limited our rides.
Gail and Tom Sterling rented a house on the channel into Lake Eustis with a raft so we enjoyed a nice ride to Hurricanes for dinner one lovely evening.

Baseline golf course, located near Weirville, is a beautifully landscaped executive course that we played twice. They don't make "tee times" - you just arrive and get in line - actually it works rather well. The first time we went there was a large group "tailgating" in the parking lot - enjoying Bloody Marys! Not a bad idea, but at 9:00am in the morning??? Why not?!

An arts and crafts show at the Villages was crazy busy but lunch at Johnny Rockets and girl time is always fun! Roger even went to the Mt.Dora show with me - his motive was Mexican food for lunch!
I have been sick for the last few days with a nasty cold, sinusitis and pink eye - triple whammy! - can't remember the last time I have been so ill! I'm on the road to recovery but if this is what age 70 brings I don't want it!!
We stopped in Atlanta to pick up Marion at Rick and Allison's and bring her home with us and had a nice visit with them.
We woke up to a winter wonderland just north of Lexington, KY on our way home but, otherwise an uneventful trip.
We are glad to be home and anxious to get started on projects at the new house but not excited about the cold weather!
