No More Dora!
As much as we love Samantha and Emily and as much fun as we had with them, we are so delighted not to have to watch one more episode of "Dora the Explorer!"
We are at DeGray Lake enjoying some R&R before heading to Michigan.

Busy Time
We've been busy! We had a wall built in the garage at the townhome to divide it so we can securely store our belongings in one half and our guests can park in the other half. Once that was done we were able to move "stuff" from the hanger to the townhome. Then Roger moved the airplane to a new hanger in an airplane community with houses around the runway - it is a perfect place to keep the Cub while we travel.
Megan & I drove to Sugarland last Friday and brought Samantha & Emily back to San Antonio to stay with Roger & I while Heather & Kyle are in Kuala Lumpur again. This time to find a house and furniture. Heather will be home Sunday but Kyle will work there for another 2 weeks. We drove through torrential rain both ways - finally decides to rain when I plan a rode trip!
We have been "talking" with Heather & Kyle using our video cams and it works really well. Samantha loves to be able to see her Mommy & Daddy and vice versa. I had put Samantha to bed the other night when Heather called but she came running out when she heard her Mom's voice! It will be nice for Kyle to see his family while he is gone for so long.
We are now at Yogi Bear Campground in Waller, TX. It is Yogi's birthday tomorrow so they have many special events planned. Samantha is soooo........excited! We got her a "Dora" life vest and it has given her the confidence to play in the pool and even go down the water slide. She is so proud of herself for being so brave! We'll have to see how brave she really is when she sees Yogi - says she is going to "hug & kiss him" but I'll believe it when I see it!
Emily is such a little sweetie! Smiling and cooing and giggling most of the time. She rolled over for the first time the other day while trying to reach her toy!
Plan to take the girls home on Sunday and then leave for Michigan on Tuesday. We will probably spend a few days in Arkansas for some R&R before we head northward!

Cub Co-Pilot
I finally got to ride in the Cub today! A gorgeous day to tour around. You could see forever. Less wind so a smoother flight and I gave the pilot a "10" for his take-off and landing! Couldn't help remember the boxes and pieces we picked up in New Mexico -
I'm so proud of Roger and his accomplishment. It's time for him to have fun with it!!
Cub Day
Good Friday was a historic day in Roger's life - he flew his airplane for the first time! The weather here was not cooperating - we had gusting winds most of the day -but it finally settled down in the early evening so he was able to circle the airport. All went well and the Cub performed beautifully. Scattered thunderstorms prevented any flying on Saturday but Easter Sunday it cleared up and he had a fun afternoon practicing take-offs and landings and getting the "feel" of it. He has some "tweaking" to do before he's willing to take passengers so I'm hoping he can fix them today. I'm anxious to get a ride!
It is a Hispanic tradition here in San Antonio to camp out in Brackenridge Park (normally no camping is allowed)for days before Easter to "save" picnic tables for a big family Easter celebration. We need rain desperately, but why on Easter week-end???
We had Easter dinner with Carlos' family at Yolanda's home. Good to see them all. Paul & Christina's little girl Olivia is 9 mns and a real cutie - crawling and exploring everything. We missed David & Monica - they are still in Wisconsin - hoping to "thaw out" soon!
Pictures of "Sky King" to follow!!!
